After winning 8 golds at the 2008 Olympics; people still gave flack to Michael Phelps when someone released a pic of him tappin’ some bong a couple months back. He was dropped by sponsors (Kellogs being the big one), made fun off on late night talk shows, called a bad influence etc, etc, etc… What people failed to realize is that Phelps is Phelps a young 20 something year old who wants to live life as a young 20 something for once. Since this story is already old news; I wont go on a rampage about what happened or why or the outcomes or whats he doing about etc… but since goldenpoodle from Cali sent us this Phelps support-T we thought of reopening the can of worms one more time. Hey when was the last time you heard someone falling succumbing to death by overdosing on marijuana?!?. I am being serious, if you guys have come across any such cases in your country whereby an innocent life was lost due to the overdosing of marijuana , we’d like to know cause it seems to me that overdosing on other drugs such as extacy is far too common. During the last week alone, a 14 year old edmonton(canada) girl died after overdosing on extacy at a party. Her friend who also consumed extacy still remains in serious but stable condition at the hospital as you read this; a 31-year old mother of two from blackpool(United Kingdom) also succumbed to death after she consumed the deadly drug at a party. We have smoked our share of spliffs in our heydey an not once come across a situation where we felt we were about to overdose on marijuana. Heck, the worse it ever got was when me an my buddy walked a kilometre to the nearest grocery store in order to buy us some chocolate chip waffles. Even at 4 in the morning, high as fcuk we still had the common sense an the awareness not to jaywalk, let alone get behind the wheel. It boggles my mind when the only news you hear about marijuana is when the cops bust a shipment or when innocent people get shot in drug deals gone bad. Fcuk, legalise the harmless drug for godsakes. Its as simple as that.

Human beings put a lotta importance on dates emphasizing birthdays, anniversaries & other useless dates such as valentines, mothers day, fathers day etc. It gives us meagre souls an excuse to look forward to something. We plan an prepare for the occassion and anytime some important day rolls around we cant control our excitement an plan an outing revolving around the importance of the occasion. Fellow admins Brudder SToner & Filter celebrated one such milestone this week. It was to this day ten years ago that they bumped into each other completely oblivious to the fact that they’d still be brothers-in-arms ten years down the road.

? No one would understand if I tried to explain. I could use magic markers and sketch out diagrams and images but in transition; the lines and circles on canvas would not be able to convey feelings. I guess sometimes a mood is nothing really more than a passage in time. Everyone bounces back from feeling like they hold the world on their shoulders. Ask Mr. Terry – he knows.
